Prof. Byoung Gie Kim

Professor Byoung-Gie Kim is Gynecological Oncologist and Professor of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, CAU hospital at Chung-Ang University School of Medicine, South Korea.
Professor Kim obtained his medical degree, master degree and doctorate at the Medical
College of Seoul National University. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship
at Seoul National University Hospital.

Professor Kim’s research focuses on gynecologic malignancies, particularly clinical trials for
gynecologic cancer. He has participated as investigator and co-author in many important
clinical trials, including SOLO1, GOG 213, DUO-O, KN-775, DUO-E, KN-A18, LEAP-001,
InnovaTV 301, ROSELLA and has published more than 350 journal articles on ovarian,
cervical and endometrial cancer.

Professor Kim is an active member of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR),
the American Society of Clinical Oncology(ASCO), the International Gynecological Cancer
Society, and the Gynecologic Oncology Group (USA). He is past President of the Korean
Gynecologic Oncology Group (KGOG) and immediate past President of the Korean Society of
Peritoneal Surface Malignancy (KSPSM), immediate past Clinical Chair of the Asia Pacific
Gynecologic Oncology Group (APGOT).
