Jonathan Ledermann is a Professor of Medical Oncology at UCL Cancer Institute, University College London, and a Consultant Medical Oncologist at UCL Hospitals, London, UK where he has worked for more than 30 years, specialising in the treatment of gynaecological cancers. He has led several national and international trials in ovarian cancer, and he was the Director of the Cancer Research UK & UCL
Cancer Trials Centre for over two decades. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences.
Previous roles include Chair of NCRI UK Gynaecology Cancer Group, Council member IGCS (International Gynecological Cancer Society) and Rare Tumour Working Group of GCIG (Gynaecological Cancer InterGroup). Recent past appointments include Senior Investigator for the National Institute of Health
Research (NIHR), subject Editor for ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) Gynaecological Cancer Practice Guidelines and Vice President of ESGO (European Society of Gynaecological Oncology).
He has published extensively on research and guidelines in Gynaecological Cancers, and lectured on these topics at international conferences.
