Tadaaki Nishikawa, MD, PhD, is a gynaecologic oncologist and currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo. His career spans comprehensive training and appointments in gynaecologic oncology, breast and medical oncology, and soft tissue sarcoma across leading Japanese cancer centers, reflecting dual expertise in surgery and systemic therapy.
Dr. Nishikawa’s clinical and research work focuses on chemotherapy and systemic treatment strategies for gynaecologic malignancies, soft tissue sarcomas, and rare gynaecologic cancers, with a strong emphasis on drug development and biomarker-driven approaches.
He has played key roles in pivotal clinical and translational studies in endometrial cancer, uterine carcinosarcoma, and sarcoma, including trials of immune checkpoint inhibitors and antibody–drug conjugates such as nivolumab and trastuzumab deruxtecan. Through a growing body of peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer, Clinical Cancer Research, and J Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. Nishikawa has contributed to evolving standards of care and the integration of novel targeted and immunotherapeutic strategies in gynaecologic oncology
