Dr. Daniel Y.T Fong

Dr. Daniel Y.T. Fong is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Postgraduate Studies at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong. He holds degrees in Mathematics and an MPhil in Statistics from The University of Hong Kong, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Waterloo.

With over 25 years of experience as a biostatistician, Dr. Fong focuses on population health, adolescent health, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), and non-communicable diseases. He has published over 420 papers, with an h-index of 62 (Scopus). In 2014, he became the first President of the World Association for Chinese Quality of Life and served as Chair of the Chinese PRO SIG of ISOQOL from 2017 to 2023. He is currently a Section Editor in Statistics for the Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery.
